Aptus Consult · PPE sector
Independent consulting and applied training for the PPE sector, centred on organisation, people and execution. We also support succession and opportunities for acquisition, sale or partnership.
A specialist engagement with a defined scope and duration.
Find your context
For SME Development and Sales Excellence, you can choose a comprehensive engagement or training alone, tailored to your company’s objectives.
For PPE distributors who want to develop their organisation, people and sales together.
An independent external view of the sales system to identify and develop untapped potential.
Independent support for occupational health and safety professionals to define requirements and compare options.
Succession, mergers, acquisitions, sale or partnership: prepare interests and introductions discreetly.
Growth and market
Revenue can rise without an improvement in competitive position. Growth should be interpreted in the context of the company’s segment, customers and market.
The question is no longer simply “are we growing?” but “is our sales capability developing fast enough?”

An engagement can help clarify priorities, develop leadership, share knowledge and turn learning into routines. Training becomes useful when it connects to real sector situations and the intended change.
Delay preserves the status quo: recurring issues consume management time, dependencies remain and opportunities may go undeveloped.
Choosing how to move forward
Management’s knowledge is the starting point. External capability adds distance, experience and dedicated time to challenge respectfully and support execution.

At Aptus, objectives, scope, deliverables and duration are agreed. Training runs through the service areas; in SME Development it forms part of a fully tailored solution from assessment to implementation. Where other expertise is needed, coordination with specialists is agreed within scope — without implying that Aptus provides every service.
A randomised trial involving 432 SMEs in Mexico assessed access to a year of management consulting. It found improvements in productivity and return on assets; subsequent administrative data showed approximately 50% higher employment and wage bills in the supported group compared with the control group, still five years after the programme.
This is evidence from a specific subsidised programme in another country. It does not justify promising the same results in the PPE sector, in Portugal or in an Aptus engagement.

Why Aptus
Aptus Consult was founded in June 2025 from the distinctive combination of its founder Artur Lucas’s career. His professional experience was developed in demanding environments — Balay/Siemens/Bosch, Michelin and Philip Morris/Tabaqueira — and in the PPE market — Honeywell Industrial Safety, Globus Group and PIP.
Sales and sector experience combine with a degree in Human Resource Management and Google’s Project Management methodology. People, organisation and execution are approached as parts of the same business reality.
